Current privacy practices
Current: Utopia does not have user accounts, comments, forms, or a newsletter. It uses no client-side analytics or advertising trackers.
Utopia does not set cookies on its public pages. Cloudflare processes ordinary connection information to deliver and protect the public site, including caching, security screening, and abuse prevention.
The application, hosting system, and Cloudflare may keep ordinary operational and security logs. These can include an IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. Logs are used to deliver the site, troubleshoot failures, investigate abuse, and protect the service. They are retained only as reasonably needed for those purposes; timing can vary with operational and security needs.
If you email peytorb@gmail.com, the message and address are used to respond and maintain a reasonable record of the request. Google handles mail delivered to that address, and the sender's own email provider may also process it. Utopia does not sell or rent personal information.
Links to Reddit, YouTube, creators, and other third-party sites lead to services with their own privacy practices. Visiting those links is a direct interaction with the third party.
How sources are used
Aggregation is research, not permission to republish. Utopia writes original summaries and recommendations, links to the specific source, and identifies the source and creator. Any excerpt is short and limited to what is necessary to explain or verify a point.
Source trust, independent corroboration, and reproducibility affect confidence. Uncertain claims are labeled accordingly, and meaningful corrections are kept visible. Copyright holders and creators can request a correction, attribution change, or removal at peytorb@gmail.com.
Agent assistance and service providers
OpenAI Codex assists with research, comparison, drafting, and review under owner supervision. OpenRouter may route approved public YouTube URLs, titles, compact context, analysis instructions, and results to Google AI Studio for video analysis. OpenRouter is the routing service; training is opted out per request and provider fallbacks are disabled. OpenRouter documents that content is not stored unless a workspace opts into logging. Google states that Gemini API prompts, context, and outputs may be retained for 55 days for abuse, policy, and legal monitoring, and are not used for general model training except policy-enforcement models. For Google video analysis, Utopia stores normalized evidence and provider metadata, not raw video-analysis responses or transcripts. The editorial workflow separately retains structured draft, review, and fact-check outputs with run metadata for audit and recovery. Cloudflare provides public delivery and security. Google also handles direct email sent to peytorb@gmail.com.
See OpenRouter's provider-logging guidance and Google's Gemini API usage policies for the provider descriptions summarized here.
Utopia does not create model-training, fine-tuning, or evaluation datasets from source material. Reddit content could be processed transiently only if Reddit gives explicit written authorization that specifically permits disclosure to OpenAI Codex, OpenRouter, and the selected model providers. Every permitted service and provider must also be covered by written terms or contracts providing at least the data protection Reddit requires under its Developer Data Protection Addendum.
Utopia treats both conditions as unmet until the written authorization and provider agreements are documented and reviewed. Without both, Utopia will not send any Reddit content to OpenAI Codex, OpenRouter, or a model provider.
Planned Reddit use: not active
Programmatic Reddit access is not active. It will not begin without Reddit's explicit approval.
If approved, Utopia would use read-only OAuth access to public posts and selected public comments in r/CollegeUltimateTeam. It would not post, comment, vote, message, moderate, or access private content. Reddit material would be used only as a lead for original reporting and synthesis, never as a mirrored feed.
Approval alone would not start access. Before access, Utopia would register its OAuth app, create the required Reddit developer profile, use the required App profile label, and provide Reddit with the resulting identifiers as required by the Responsible Builder Policy.
When Reddit material contributes to a published item, Utopia would link the specific Reddit item, identify Reddit, and credit the applicable username. Raw titles, post bodies, and comments would be transient and deleted within 48 hours or sooner.
If Reddit content or its author's account is deleted, Utopia would purge the associated content, URLs, author identifiers, and source-specific notes. Deletion requests would be handled promptly, with Reddit personal data erased within 10 days. If Reddit access ends or the integration stops, the project would stop collection and delete the Reddit data it controls.
Utopia would not create a searchable Reddit corpus or embeddings; train models; build fine-tuning or evaluation datasets; profile Reddit users; or join Reddit identities with off-platform identities.
Any approved integration would follow Reddit's Developer Terms, Data API Terms, Responsible Builder Policy, and Developer Data Protection Addendum. Reddit's applicable terms control if they conflict with this description. This planned use does not imply a partnership with or endorsement by Reddit.
